Walsh Inauguration Details Announced
See who's playing at Boston's first big party of 2014.
Mayor-elect Marty Walsh is planning quite the bash for his inauguration party. The $35 ticket gets in into the event, held Jan. 6 at the Hynes Convention Center.
There's a social component to the event, too. Walsh has asked that attendees bring either canned goods for the hungry or make a contribution to ABCB Energy and Fuel Service to help families struggling to afford home heating oil.
In November, Walsh beat City Councilor John Connolly to take the mayor's seat. Current Mayor Thomas Menino is stepping down after 20 years on the job.
